Soghaat Dry Fruit Jaggery is a solid block of jaggery studded with pieces of dry fruit. It has a dense, firm texture that can be broken into chunks or grated as needed. The colour is a deep amber, typical of jaggery, with a rich, deep sweetness and a slightly earthy note from the cane. This jaggery is used in place of refined sugar in everyday home cooking. Break off a piece and stir it into hot tea for a natural sweetness, or melt it down to make chikki, laddoo or gur ka halwa. It also works well stirred through kheer or added to parathas for a touch of sweetness alongside the dry fruit pieces running through the block. To use, break off the amount needed with a knife or your hands, as the block does not crumble easily on its own. Grating a small amount makes it simpler to dissolve into hot liquids such as tea or milk. Store the remaining block in an airtight container in a cool, dry place to keep it firm and ready to use. Kept this way, it will stay in good condition for general kitchen use over time.
