This 500g pack of Soghaat Desi Shakkar suits regular use in the kitchen, lasting a household several weeks of everyday cooking and hot drinks. Desi shakkar is a granulated, unrefined style of cane sugar with a coarse texture and a deeper, richer taste than white sugar. It is a store cupboard staple for South Asian cooking. Stir it into desi chai for a rounder, less sharp sweetness than refined sugar gives.
