Coarse pink salt is best known for topping a steak straight off the grill, adding a satisfying crunch and burst of seasoning to the crust. This is Jazaa Pink Salt Coarse, a coarse-grained salt with a distinctive pink colour, sold ready for the kitchen or the table. Its larger crystals make it ideal for hand grinders, so cooks can crack it fresh over roast dinners, chips or a simple green salad. The coarse texture also works well rubbed into meat before roasting or grilling, helping to build a flavourful crust. Many home cooks keep a pot beside the hob for seasoning stocks, soups and pasta water, where the crystals dissolve gradually as they cook. Because the grains are larger than table salt, a little goes further with each grind, so it pays to season in stages and taste as you go.
