Heera Juwar Flour is best known for making bhakri, the traditional flatbread served across Indian households. This 1kg pack contains juwar flour, milled from sorghum grain, giving it a pale colour and a slightly coarse texture. In the kitchen, juwar flour is used to make bhakri, rotla and other flatbreads, often cooked on a hot tawa until lightly charred. Cooks also mix it into batters for savoury pancakes or add it to porridge-style dishes for a heartier texture. It works well alongside wheat flour when a firmer, more rustic bread is wanted. To use, mix the flour with warm water to form a firm dough, then shape and roll it before cooking on a hot griddle.
