Soghaat Alu Bukhara comes in a 200g pack, enough for several rounds of cooking or a few weeks of snacking in most households. Alu Bukhara are dried plums, dark in colour with a soft, chewy bite and a distinctive sweet-sour flavour. They keep their shape well once cooked, making them a useful addition to the store cupboard. In real home cooking, alu bukhara are added to biryani and pulao for a fruity, tangy lift, or simmered into meat curries where they soften and release their flavour into the sauce.
